Paris is a living work of art. From the pavement artists of Montmartre to the Leonardos of the Louvre, the many artistic and architectural treasures in the city have likened Paris to one vast museum. However, Paris is also a vibrant city of elegance with its many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants all harmonised by an atmosphere of romance and joie-de-vivre. This is a tour of Paris that is quite simply unique. Our hotel is the 4-star cruise vessel MS Seine Princess, moored on the Seine in central Paris. Spacious and light, she offers a welcoming and refined ambience. Facilities include a lounge bar and library, gourmet restaurant, sun deck and souvenir shop. All the cabins are air conditioned and enjoy panoramic views, satellite TV, radio, safe and en-suite facilities. This is a FULL BOARD PACKAGE that will enable you to enjoy some wonderful cuisine, spectacular cabaret entertainment and experience the wonderful sights and attractions that Paris has to offer. Sunday: We shall cross the Channel from Dover and then follow the motorways across Northern France to arrive in Paris in the early evening. After settling in we have dinner and a cabaret show.
Monday: We join our coach for a morning guided sightseeing tour of Paris, then after lunch the afternoon is at your leisure to explore Paris followed by dinner and dancing.
Tuesday: During the morning we shall have another sightseeing tour of Paris. After lunch the afternoon is at leisure, and in the evening there is a Gala Dinner with an evening river cruise.
Wednesday: Drive back across Northern France to the Channel ports for the ferry to England, arriving back in Enfield during the late evening.

MAD MARCH MYSTERY TOUR

It may be the coast, a town or the countryside, the general direction depending on the weather. CITY OF LINCOLN

After the success of last year's City Season Opener to Nottingham we shall 'kick-start' 2018 with a visit to another of our historic cities – namely the Roman city of Lincoln. Discover 1,000 years of history at Lincoln Castle or stand in awe in the nave of Lincoln Cathedral. Lincoln also offers a unique shopping experience from your favourite brands in the High Street and Waterside shopping Centre to the St Marks Shopping Centre and the independent shops and boutiques in the Cathedral Quarter. The city itself is set upon the River Witham and rises 180ft to the Castle and Cathedral. Home by approximately 8.30pm.

CLACTON, FRINTON OR WALTON

The opportunity to spend the day by the sea at Clacton, Frinton or Walton-on-the Naze. These popular Essex coastal resorts have safe sandy beaches. Clacton is renowned for its amusements. Walton is the quieter, family resort while Frinton caters for the more discerning visitor. Home by approximately 7.30pm.

THE GUIDE DOG EXPERIENCE

We shall drive to Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, famous for its wide boulevards, Georgian and Edwardian architecture and Jephson Gardens. After a short break in the town we shall visit the Guide Dogs for the Blind Training School. It started in 1941 and today trains 220 dogs a year, so you are invited to take part in the Guide Dog Experience and learn about this life-changing work. You can find out how it all began and how a guide dog is trained; meet the dogs and take a picture of your favourite; experience a blind-fold walk; visit the gift shop and meet the owners or puppy walkers. There will be time for tea and biscuits before setting off for home and a stop will be made en-route, arriving home by approximately 7.30pm. There is no admission charge but donations to the training school are very welcome. The visit is timed for 1.30pm and that is the only time the centre accepts group visits so the time available in Leamington Spa is restricted.

CAMBRIDGE AND THE THRIPLOW DAFFODILS AND COUNTRY FAIR

Drive to Cambridge for lunch and sighteeing and in the afternoon drive through the springtime countryside of Cambridgeshire to visit the famous village of Thriplow where they are celebrating their 50th Daffodil Weekend. Many private gardens will be showing their daffodils along with the band on the village green, craft exhibitions, demonstrations and displays of country pursuits. Tea can be taken at various locations in the village. Home by approximately 6.30pm.

Drive direct to Cambridge which has been described as the loveliest city in Britain because of the wealth of architectural styles to be admired, dominated by the fabulous King's College Chapel. There are many museums, an old-fashioned shopping centre and the brand new 'Cambridge Arcade' which consists of 50 new shops including a huge John Lewis Store. Home by approximately 6.30pm.

MARKET DAY IN THE COTSWOLDS

The market at Moreton-in-Marsh was granted its first charter in 1629. Today, it's the largest market in the Cotswolds. Following lunch in the town we drive to the incomparable 'Bourton-on-the-Water', The Venice of The Cotswolds, set on the beautiful River Windrush where we have approximately 2 hours for tea and sightseeing. Home by approximately 7.30pm.

FISH AND CHIPS AT WEST MERSEA AND SHINING ESTUARIES

One of our more unusual tours that takes us to the edge of the River Colne and the Island of Mersea. River estuaries are magical places. At low tide meandering streams cross shining mud flats. At high tide vast expanses of water reflect the changing light of wide skies and today we take you to two of the most beautiful tidal rivers in East Anglia. At lunchtime we are able to enjoy fish and chips at the edge of the River Colne and for tea we visit the estuary of the River Blackwater. Home by approximately 7.00pm.

PJ'S AND OSTEND — QUEEN OF FLANDERS

After stopping at Pidou near Calais for wines, beers or spirits we shall drive to PJ's in Belgium renowned as the place to buy cheap tobacco products and chocolates. We shall then drive the short distance to Ostend – the Queen of seaside resorts. There are numerous pavement cafes, bars and restaurants nestling around the harbour and Fisherman's Quay, the place for seafood. We have 2½ - 3 hours in this vibrant resort. Home by approximately midnight.

WADDESDON MANOR AT SPRINGTIME

After making a stop for refreshment in Aylesbury we shall spend the afternoon at Waddesdon Manor. It was built for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the late 19th century to display his collection of art treasures and to entertain fashionable society and designed in the style of a French-Chateau typical of the Loire Valley. Its sumptuous interiors display the highest quality 18th century French decorative arts alongside magnificent English portraits and Dutch Old Masters. All this is set in one of the finest Victorian gardens in Britain alongside its ornate working aviary and classical contemporary sculptures. There will be time to browse around the shops and have tea before leaving for home. Home by approximately 6.30pm.

SOUTHEND OR WESTCLIFF

If you do not want to travel too far but fancy a breath of sea air and a walk along the promenade, we offer the opportunity of five hours beside the sea at our nearest resort whose latest attractions include the Pier Hill Observation Tower and a completely rebuilt promenade running from the Kursaal to the famous pier. Indeed with the fabulous shopping centre and excellent gardens everything combines to give a day out to remember! Home by approximately 6.30pm.

EASTER SATURDAY 31ST MARCH 2018
STEAMING THROUGH THE WEALD ON THE BLUEBELL RAILWAY

We shall drive through Kent and into West Sussex to East Grinstead, capital of the High Weald on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. The focal point of this old market town is the conservation area around the historic High Street with a mixture of magnificent medieval buildings, small passageways and courtyards all waiting to be explored. There will be time for lunch and sightseeing before we drive the ten miles through the Sussex Weald to Sheffield Park home of the Bluebell Railway. We have a 22-mile return ride on the steam-hauled railway from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead along the border between East and West Sussex, with time for a cup of tea at Sheffield Park Station before arriving home by approximately 8.00pm.
